Well, the frustration is over, because today, as always, I clicked on iPhoto listing in the Updates tab of the App Store, and, to my surprise and delight, the upgrade to version 9.6.1 of iPhoto actually began to download! I was among that group who tried, but failed, to download that final upgrade. This frustration went on for about six months.When I select an individual photo or click on select all, I get a pop up that says, 'No pages from the document were selected to be printed.' How can I get these to print? I'm trying to print a contact sheet from iPhoto.If you've already got several GB of photos on your system, you don't want another huge iPhoto file taking up space on your hard drive.For albums first synced to Facebook in iPhoto 9.5, iPhoto will sync the information in the description field for the photo to the caption on Facebook.
However, I dislike the way iPhoto has to build a library file of your photos. These look great and are a nice way to view your photos and reminisce on the past.
One of my favorite features of iPhoto are the photo montages which allow you to select a style of presentation with accompanying music.

In fact, the real strength of the program resides in the organizing options such as organizing by events, create a gallery, print out calendars and books etc. As a competitor to Picasa it packs a powerful punch as a slick OS X image management app that's fully integrated into iCloud, Maps and more.The interface is very slick and iPhoto features tons of tools to help you manage your library. IPhoto is Apple's flagship application for managing and viewing photos on your Mac. With that confirmed, it took some investigation to locate the subtle differences in the new version as compared with the pre-Mavericks edition. That’s disappointing, and it seems like a lost opportunity.Īs noted in our First Look, iPhoto 9.5 is so similar to version 9.4.3 (on OS X 10.8.5) that I did a double-take to make sure I was running the new version.
